Book Clubs
During the next two weeks, we will be working on a book club assessment in class. Students will be assessed on their understanding of setting and characters in their book club novels. Please find project guidelines and the rubric linked here. The project will allow students to show understanding of the story elements in a creative way. While students will be given time in class to work on their projects, they may need to devote some time at home as well.

Teacher Due Date: Friday, September 12
Narrative Writing
We will continue our work with narrative writing. By this Friday, all students will have their first draft of their small moment written. The next two weeks will be spent editing, revising, and publishing.
Social Studies
We will continue our study of the Inca, Aztec, and Maya civilizations. Using the following acronym, GRAPES, we will explore various aspects of each civilization.

R: Religion
A: Achievements
P: Political Structure
E: Economy
S: Social Structure
