Tiete Photo Contest

Tiete Photo Contest: Due Date:  Tuesday, March 31

Task:  This year, you will be taking pictures with a purpose.  Each student will be required to submit one photo along with a detailed caption to our 5th Grade Flickr shared album  This year, the two themes are:  

1.  Como a ação do homem interfere na sobrevivência do rio?

or

2. A Living History, A Living River

Your caption should be no more than 140 characters and should clearly explain how your photo connects to the chosen theme.  You will copy your caption into your homeroom’s shared document.

How to submit your photo:

1.  Send the picture as an attachment (JPEG file) to the following e-mail address: hours92term@photos.flickr.com  

2.  In the e-mail's subject, please write the following in the format shown below.

Tiete Field Trip

The Tiete fieldtrip is here!

Here are a few guidelines and reminders: 

• Please make sure your child is at school at 6:30 am on Wednesday March 25th at the bus parking lot. The buses will leave at 7:00 sharp. 

• You may follow their activities on Instagram!! search for fifthgraded and ask to follow.  
• We will be back to school on Friday approximately 4:15. Ms. Lissa will be sending updates if this time changes significantly.

Money/Extra Expenses: We suggest the amount between R$ 20,00-30,00 for incidental expenses, such as snacks on the boat.  There is absolutely no need for more money than that.  Since students will be responsible for their own belongings, it is advised to bring only this amount.

Other Electronics: Students will have “down time” on the long bus rides.  For this reason, they are welcome to bring personal music players that are CLEARLY MARKED WITH A NAME.

Valuables: Please do not pack anything you or your child would miss (expensive jewelry, extra money, etc.).

Documents:  All students will need a copy of an identification card such as RG, Passport, RNE, etc.  Teachers will be responsible for holding on to these documents for the students.
